End of Pregnancy and the beginning of the rest of our lives!

Week 38-39

I feel lucky that Danny and I made it through the last 2 weeks in one piece, once my cold settled in Kennedy got more and more comfortable as I got less and less comfortable.  I was working 10-11 hour days trying to prepare, as I am a little controlling the idea of leaving "my" market in the hands of others was terrifying and I had to try to put it into concise, organized files/notes to make this happen.  Coming home at night all I did was sit around wondering "WHEN IS THIS BABY COMING" I had definitely hit that point, I was DONE!

On Halloween, dressed as a "cop", I went to what ended up being my last pre-baby doctor's appointment.  I still wasn't showing much progress and the stress test came out normal.  My blood pressure was still a little high but nothing to be too worried about.  I told the Dr. I needed this baby out of me, I was going crazy.  Both of the nurses (both awesome) were moving on from his practice and I was hating being put with the new girl every week, she always had freezing cold hands and was so unsure of herself (I am sure she was just nervous) that she made me EXTREMELY  on edge.  He scheduled me for Monday to check everything and said at that point they would call the hospital and "get me setup for Monday night or Tuesday."  All I could think was INDUCTION HERE I COME :)

I made it through one of the busiest weeks of the year for me at work and while putting final touches on "maternity" plans I received a call from the Dr's office saying "we don't have to see you Monday, the hospital has an opening", HALLELUJAH!! We were scheduled to be induced Monday morning November 5 at 8AM, I was a happy camper.  Over that weekend we had a couple blood pressure scares, Sunday night after our last pre-baby meal out (Indian food) my BP was 155/104.  We checked multiple times and then drove to another store just to make sure it was right.  We tried using Danny's BP as an indicator that the machine wasn't "off", but apparently having an extremely pregnant and miserable wife makes him have unnaturally high blood pressure, we will have to keep an eye on that as I don't know that adding a sweet baby girl will do anything positive for daddy's nerves :)  We went home and I called the hospital, of course the nurse told me to come check in (they ALWAYS say that), in stead we drove to the hospital and had them check my vitals.  My BP had gone down (the nurse said I had relaxed) so we decided to spend the evening at home in our bed now the hospital.  Home we went for one last night in our house as a family of 4, all snuggled in our big bed waiting for Miss Kennedy to arrive.  We woke up early on Monday to make sure everything was ready, we kissed the puppies goodbye and were on our way to have our baby girl!

39 weeks, 4 days-READY TO HAVE THIS BABY

Labor and Delivery

We checked in right after 8am on that Monday morning, the nurses had my change into what became my staple outfit for the next 2 days...NAKED with a side of cloth that left little to the imagination.  I went into that room being a modest person, not wanting to show my boobs or body to family and friends let alone strangers.  But now that is all gone...giving birth gives you a whole new perspective, frankly who gives a shit what people see, they have most likely seen it before and probably worse :)  Once they got me situated they had to hook up my IV.  That was probably one of the worst things I had to go through the ENTIRE time at the hospital.  OUCH.  The nurse was digging around in my hand saying "wow you have tough skin".  I was texting my mom and Aunt, they obviously thought I was the biggest baby ever, while I was having second thoughts on delivering if the IV hurt that bad!

To induce me the Dr. had them place this tiny little pill on my cervix that would make me 100% effaced and help with dilating.  As you can all use your imaginations to place a tiny pill in the PERFECT spot on someones cervix is not only difficult but also not the most comfortable thing.  Once the pill was in place the next thing was W A I T I N G.  Danny went and rented us movies, got himself some snacks and the nurse a diet pepsi :)  The morning dragged on, the IV was making me crazy (it was all  I could think about) and every time she came in to check me I had made little progress and wasn't feeling contractions.  Around noon I finally started feeling contraction (apparently that's what they were) with low back pain and the feeling that I had to use the bathroom.  The nurse kept asking if I wanted drip pain medicine but I figured it would only get worse so I should wait a bit longer.  At about 2:30 I finally said yes to the pain medicine, I was so squirmy trying to get comfortable through the contractions and was tired of the damn heart rate belt.monitor thing having to be adjusted!  That started kicking in and oh boy I was high as a kite.  I can't figure out why people like taking that stuff for fun,  I couldn't make a decision or concentrate for the life of me and ALL I WANTED TO DO WAS TAKE A NAP!  The nurse was checking to see if we were making any progress and while doing so MY WATER BROKE, 2:45 and we were getting started.  As I mentioned I was high as a kite so when Danny started asking me all these questions about calling family and when they should come I thought my head was literally wobbling on my neck.  My water breaking sent everything into action, the anesthesiologist came in right about 3 to give me my epidural.  It really wasn't so bad, just scary having to sit so carefully.  My nurse who was AMAZING had me hug her while the lady put the needle in, then they did a test...well she missed and had to start over, how did I get so lucky?  The second try was successful so I was now not feeling my contractions and was a happy camper!  A fun fact for those who have never had an epidural, they are actually given as a drip just like an IV.  I always though they were that big needle and that it was one dose and would wear off...oh no, it just keeps on dripping until they turn it off, simply AMAZING!

After I got re situated in my bed the nurse went to check me and OUCH, apparently the epidural didn't numb EVERYTHING so for the duration of my labor I could feel everything on the outside of my body down there...ouch.

We had our one and only scare around 3:30 PM.  My blood pressure crashed as a result of the epidural, 104/68 and they lost the babies heart beat.  The room filled with nurses, they put an oxygen mask on my and had Danny step aside.  I had no idea what was going on but they kept telling me "you are doing great, it's goings to be OK"  that of course led me to tears because I had NO idea what was happening, but they all dispersed after a few minutes and everything was fine...thank goodness!

A little after 4 my contractions really started picking up so we started doing practice pushes, the doctor was supposed to arrive a little before 5 and we would get started.  Then 5 o clock rolls around (practice pushes), then 5:15 (more practice pushes and the nurses asking them to call my doctor for the 4th time), then 5:30, my Dr was stuck on the Cable bridge because the Blue Bridge was shut down an extra day for construction (sounds like a TV show right!)  The nurses assured me that everything would be fine, they have delivered the babies before and really all the Dr does is come in to catch her...ARE YOU SERIOUS!  I paid how much money for this guy and he is just going to walk in and catch her...HELL NO.  He finally got there right after 5:30 and said "wow she really is close" I couldn't believe it!  He went out into the hall to wait while the nurses (Irena and Nicole) were amazing.  Nicole held a leg, Danny held a leg and Irena prepped me for Kennedy's arrival.  Thanks to her tricks of the trade (she used baby shampoo to help get her out) and all their support my labor was one for hte books.  I pushed for less than an hour and a half and the Dr. came in with about 15 pushes left.  Considering I wasn't completely numb I felt more than I wanted to but already (5 weeks later) I don't remember the pain.  With my finally push she came shooting out (almost literally) and contrary to our MANY discussions on birth plans they tossed her right on me.

I had always been the woman that wanted the baby cleaned up before given to me, Danny to see NOTHNG and touch nothing (including the umbilical cord) oh how that didn't happen.  Everything was a blur, I had this baby on my that was mine, had been with me for 9 months and wasn't crying, the first thing I said was "why isn't she crying, whats wrong"  nothing was wrong, they just had to clean out the goop (gross) then the wailing began.  I looked over and the Dr was handing Danny scissors saying "here you go, make the cut dad" and Kennedy was a gooey mess.  Although it wasn't how I planned it, it was perfect :)  Once I got a really good look at her the first thing I said was, "Oh my god she looks black" not that that would be a problem, except that Danny and I are both pale with freckles and this gorgeous baby had olive skin and a full head of dark hair (explains all the tums I had been toting around for months).

At that moment, 6:35 PM on November 5, 2012 Danny and I welcomed our baby girl, Kennedy Anne Wynne to the world at 7 lbs 11 oz, measuring 21 inches long.

What a day that was, I was officially STARVING so the first order of business was getting Nikki to order me Hawaiian pizza and a pepsi.  After all being said and done I am still in shock at how nice I was throughout my pregnancy and delivery.  I had my moments but even during L&D I wasn't mad or bitchy, it was euphoric, I was so happy and thankful to have Danny by my side and my amazing nurses.  They kept saying "get mad, get mad, push" and I told them I wasn't mad at all!  I joked with the nurse and told her she was being mean when she was prepping me because it hurt but other than that I don't think I said 1 mean thing, Danny was hoping that would stick but I think it was all a fluke, the normal Cassi is back :)

Once the initial shock wore off it was a whirlwind our fabulous nurses (I love them) had to leave because their shift was over and we got this nurse that about sent me over the edge.  She was SOO pushy and  I swear every time my family would get into the room she would decide I had to nurse or that she needed to push blood out of me (gross I know).  Kennedy was so blessed to have her Aunt and Uncle as well as her Grammy and Grampy there to welcome her into the world.  My mom counted her fingers and toes before doing anything else :)

My family left later that evening and we got settled into our new room.  It was really quite nice, the bed for poor Danny was awful but we weren't doing a lot of sleeping anyway :)  He went home Tuesday morning to get a little bit of sleep (my mom and dad took the puppies home with them for a couple nights) and Kennedy and I hung out at the hospital.  I had my first shower, AMAZING and we filled out paperwork to start the going home process.  She passed all tests with flying colors and we finally got sent home at 8:35 PM Tuesday night.  After one last feeding, going to the pharmacy, grabbing dinner, we finally made it home at 10 PM.  Mom decided she would come the next night so the 3 of us had our first night at home together :) We are so blessed!

Heading home from the hospital!  She was annoyed with all the bright flashes :) She will fit right in with this family!

37 Weeks, 3 days

Week 37

What a busy couple of weeks! After my last Dr. Appt I went back to work and started feeling icky, 1 trip to urgent care and them telling me "oh sweetheart it's just a cold" I went home to rest before our last Cougar Football game before Kk's arrival!  Danny and Robby spent all day Sunday putting the changing table together while I slept, so glad they could have that bonding moment together :)

Monday I received a call from Urgent Care telling me in fact I DID have strep throat (go figure I understand my body better then they do).  It had been almost a week and I am feeling human again thanks to the antibiotics.

I have had some great things happening the last few weeks, got a promotion at work!  Although I am worried about how I will take going back to work, this little incentive will definitely help.

The nursery is FINALLY finished, we have put all the finally touches and the last thing we need to do is pack the diaper bag...maybe tomorrow!

We had a week full of car troubles so Danny and I spent the afternoon yesterday car shopping and bought our first car together!!  Looking forward to driving my "new" car :)  It is a 2011 Toyota Camry.  We loaded the car seat today and Danny deep cleaned the other Camry to get prepped for Kennedy's arrival!

Final preparations have begun, just need to get the house cleaned and we are ready for Kennedy to arrive, I am hoping it is soon for my comforts sack but my leave plan could definitely use another week or 2 of work!

Had a Dr. appt on Friday, with ultrasound and all.  We got to see her face for the first time since the very beginning, be prepared I am showing her 3D photo, but look how precious she is!!  After the ultrasound we had a stress test, Kennedy decided that was a good time to sleep so I laid connected to that machine for 45 minutes before she even moved.  Everything came back A-ok so now I am thinking she will decide to stay in there longer...just hoping she comes before her due date now!!

There are so many weird things that happen to your body but as all have mentioned the last month is definitely the oddest.  You can no longer do the basic things in life without it being a mass production.  You have random body parts that fall asleep regularly, my finger tips currently.  Showering/shaving, going to the bathroom are all an endeavor that takes much more effort than they EVER should.

Oh the joys.  counting down the days until she comes :)

How far along? 37 weeks
Baby size: Over 6 pounds and getting taller!

Total weight gain/loss:+42ish pounds!

Maternity clothes? Looking forward to wearing some different clothes, I am currently very limited

Stretch marks? Hate them.  Hoping they fade and just glad I don't have a bikini body I flaunt regularly.

Sleep: Getting used to what it will be like being up half the night!  I wake up 3-4 times to pee, 2 or 3 to rotate because my hand/arm are asleep and sometimes I just wake up, WIDE awake and can't go back to sleep.  The best moments of rest are when I should be up getting ready for work but I snuggle with the dogs just a few extra minutes these days!

Best moment this week: The past 2 weeks, baby shower, coug game, NEW car, promotion.  So many great things!

Movement: When she is awake she rolls like crazy!
Miss anything?:  Being comfortable

Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope

Have you started to show yet: Can I get any bigger?

Symptoms: Pretty standard, she has dropped so my back feels much better but now my hips/low back are getting achy, a sure sign she is coming soon!
Labor Signs: Random contractions here and there, but wasn't dilated last week and my stress test showed such little contractions they didn't check this week...hoping to be at least a little dilated at my appt. Thursday!

Belly Button in or out? In...I am just wondering how my body will know to put it all back when it came from!

Wedding rings on or off?  Off, and my grandma's rings are now off too...just the cheapy claires ring from middle school...can't wait to get my bling back!
Happy or Moody?: Happy and worn out.  Nothing excites me too much anymore, the additional effort of moving makes it more difficult :)

Looking forward to: Her arrival!! EEK :)

35 Weeks

Week 35

Sorry for the lack of blog updates, but I am ready....VERY ready to be back to normal, or at least semi-normal.  I resemble a small whale in size and waddle like a penguin :)  We had our ultrasound last Friday and good news, Kennedy is looking GREAT, but exactly the size she should be based on her November 8th due date.  I however am still measuring 4 weeks ahead so apparently I am just big!  Her little head is perfect not too big and from what the Dr said not the standard "Wynne" head, this makes me and all my woman parts breath a sigh of relief! I have 1 more appointment next week, then I start going to see him once a week, I can't even believe we are at this point!
How far along? 35 weeks

Baby size: 6 pounds and 18 inches!! Think honeydew
Total weight gain/loss:+39ish pounds!
Maternity clothes? Outgrowing some of them, not sure that was something I expected!

Stretch marks? Ugh, too many to count and the dark ones :(  Apparently mine didn't want to show up until my last trimester...so rude!

Best moment this week: Unexpected news and completing 25 freezer meals!!

Movement: All the time...and she is cramped so its not so comfortable!

Miss anything?:  Comfort :)

Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope

Have you started to show yet: Ha, that's funny!

Symptoms: All the typical ones are here, trying to remind myself they will only last a few more weeks and then we will have a beautiful baby girl!!

Labor Signs: Some contractions, a horrible 15 minute dose over a week ago...not sure I am tough enough for the real deal!

Belly Button in or out? In...but not liking how far out is it being pushed
Wedding rings on or off?  Off, and now round 2 is close to not fitting...UGH damn swolleness!

Happy or Moody?: Blah, just tired and worn out!

Looking forward to: Last baby shower this weekend, family time and finishing organizing her room!

Week 33!!!

Week 33

We are in the homestretch!!  Only 7 weeks and based on my Dr Appt last week, could be as little as 5 weeks :)

It has been a busy 2 weeks for Danny and I, last week we put together all of our big items...the carseat.stroller was SOOO cute, but something was off.  As soon as Danny put the last piece on I realized...SHIT I registered for the wrong one!  Some may ask how I could possibly screw something like that up, we are wondering the same thing.  Pregnancy brain at its finest.  Needless to say I had an emotional breakdown, Danny stopped helping my crazy ass and I stayed up late trying to take the damn thing apart and get it perfectly back in the box.  The next morning I did the best I could and almost went into labor putting the box in my car but I was going to fix this, BY MYSELF!  The toys r us people were AMAZING, they said most people don't even try to put it back in the box, let alone bring every piece of plastic/cardboard that came with it.  They let me return it and even let me "build my own" travel system by picking individual items and putting them together (saved me $25 buck)!  It reassured me that there are people and places that understand sometimes shit happens and it really isn't that big of a deal.  Went to Pullman 2 weekends ago, the trek from RV to game is definitely hard work for me, I may have slightly overdone it but I am going to do it again this weekend!  Our seats are amazing, but in the sunshine, not the best during the hot games but AWESOME during the cold games :)

My mom threw me an amazing shower for my Tri-Cities girlfriends last Saturday, she even made monkey bread which is a Christmas Morning only dish...I am VERY lucky.  My sister said "Mom always makes the best stuff when you're around" I like to pretend its because I am the favorite!!

Last Friday I had my 32 week check up and Miss Kennedy was measuring 35-36 weeks.  My blood pressure is up, just on the border of worrisome, so they are thinking there is a chance she is coming early.  We go in next Friday for an ultrasound to make sure she isn't getting too much fluid and so they can measure her to make sure she isn't getting too big.  I want her to come a little early but I am not ready for her yet so hoping she can stay happy inside until at least mid October!

Yesterday 9-19 we celebrated our 3rd wedding anniversary!  I am so lucky to have Danny in my life, he is my best friend and partner in crime.  I am so blessed to have him by my side during this crazy adventure and lucky he puts up with the craziness (somewhat).

Looking forward to an awesome Cougar Football weekend and WIN as well as another week of organizing, baby showers and doctor appointments!  Time to pack the hospital bag :)
How far along? 33 weeks

Baby size: Over 4 pounds and 17 inches. Think pineapple, but cuter :)
Total weight gain/loss:+35ish pounds! Been up and down the last few weeks.

Maternity clothes? Outgrowing some of them, not sure that was something I expected!

Stretch marks? Ew, I feel like one big stretch mark...have a few on the belly now...:(

Sleep: Up a couple times a night, usually 3 or 4.  2 to pee and the others to rotate because my arms/hands are numb.  Not fun!
Best moment this week: Baby Shower, Dr Appt, Cougar Football!

Movement: All the time...very active child, we are in for active little one!

Miss anything?:  The ease of moving/walking.  Lovey time with Danny...even cuddling is hard these days.

Anything making you queasy or sick: Not really, sometimes my contractions make me want to puke...I am thinking these hurt...not a good sign!

Have you started to show yet: Bigger than ever!
Symptoms: All the typical ones are here, trying to remind myself they will only last a few more weeks and then we will have a beautiful baby girl!!
Labor Signs: Nope!

Belly Button in or out? In...holding strong :)

Wedding rings on or off?  Off, I hate it.

Happy or Moody?: Moody :(  Irritable, short fused pregnant lady right here!

Looking forward to: Cougar Football Saturday, Ultrasound next week and finishing up more organizing!

Week 31...9 weeks to go!

Week 31
ONLY 9 weeks left and if my mother's intuition is correct...only 8 weeks :)  So crazy how fast the time is FLYING by.  Great last week...had a nice relaxing trip to Chelan, but I must say I think I have hit the cranky part of pregnancy...me and people (drunk people especially) don't mesh well!  I have no patience, none, gone, out the window.  I am trying to lock it up but some times I just can't!

We threw mom a surprise 50th birthday last night (9/5) she has to be the HARDEST and crankiest person to surprise...you would think we were asking her to give birth to a child or something to get her to fall into our plan.  That being said we all feel VERY accomplished to have pulled it off!  Nikki did a great job wrapping it all together, so glad she was on top of it because I didn't have an extra brain cell to devote to organization.  All in all it was great to celebrate her big year, still can't believe she is 50!!

Tomorrow we head to Pullman (aka Heaven on Earth) for the first Cougar Football Saturday of the year...CANT WAIT!  Chelsea and Corey are coming as well so we are going to have a fun and rowdy (I am sure I will do great with this) weekend.  My plan is to make it to Vahalla so I can do some 80s dancing :)  Let's just hope our team makes an excellent showing...so proud to be a Coug!

How far along? 31 weeks

Baby size: 3.3 pounds and over 16 inches
Total weight gain/loss:+33 pounds! The weight has slowed down the last few weeks making me a happy camper!

Maternity clothes? Love them! Just bought a few new items, can't wait to wear them.
Stretch marks? My legs and bikini line...YIKES!  Hope this doesn't continue.

Sleep: Not bad up once a night to pee and have to move a lot but I can't complain

Best moment this week: My mom's birthday party :) and seeing my BESTIE

Movement: Lots of somersaulting!  She doesn't kick much, rather makes large sweeping movements...

Food cravings: Nope

Miss anything?: Lots of things, at this point I am getting used to the lack of rowdiness in my life as a waddling pregnant lady has removed most fun from my being :)

Anything making you queasy or sick: Farts...not naming names...but EW.  Being extra sensitive to smell does not help when around stinky men!
Have you started to show yet: Small Whale!

Symptoms: TMI:  My boob started leaking on Sunday.  At first I thought I spilled my drink, then I realized that NO that was colostrum.  I don't think I am ready for the whole breast feeding thing...kind of freaks me out!  Oh and braxton hicks contractions...they hurt!

Labor Signs: Nope!

Belly Button in or out? In...holding strong :)

Wedding rings on or off?  Off, I hate it.

Happy or Moody?: Moody :(

Looking forward to: Cougar Football Saturday, opening NFL weekend and a week without plans :)

Monday: Wake up for a full day of work

YUCK!  It has been a fun couple of months but definitely wearing on me, looking forward to slowing down (minus Cougar football) after our fabulous Chelan getaway this weekend.

The wedding and parties were all so fabulous this weekend.  Kennedy and I got spoiled rotten on Sunday!  She is going to be one best dressed baby!  IT was also my wonderful mother's 50th birthday, I can't believe she has hit that mark, she still seems so young to me :)  Guess that is good news for this girl?  She has a big year, 50, first time Gma and married for 30 years...SHE IS BUSY!

Photo: 100_2410.jpg

Yesterday morning I had my 3 hour glucose test.  Needless to say I was STRESSED about what the possibilities of the test could bring us.  I watched everything I ate on Tuesday (even skipped a donut, my favorite) and woke up Wednesday nearly at my wits end.  Got to the lab and started my test at 8:45, first draw not so bad but everyone is right, the drink doesn't taste bad but it kicks your ass.  After about 10 minutes my stomach was cramping bad and I thought I was going to throw up.  The lady told me if I did I would have to go home and come back another day to start over...obviously I coached myself through that!  After my 2nd draw I felt fine just HUNGRY.  Kept myself occupied working on thank you cards and facebooking, it is crazy how much information people give you once you vocalize what you are going through.  Found out a lot of people I know have been through this and they survived.  This morning I called the Doc and got GREAT news...ALL NORMAL LEVELS!!  No Gestational Diabetes for this girl :)  And note to all friends who may be having babies soon, DO NOT EAT ANY SUGAR the day before your test because it will effect the results of the 1 hour!

Tomorrow we leave on our last mini vacation without the little miss, so excited to see my bestie :)

How far along? 30 weeks

Baby size: 3 pounds and almost 16 inches-head of cabbage

Total weight gain/loss:+32 pounds! The weight has slowed down the last few weeks making me a happy camper!

Maternity clothes? Love them! Wish I had a budget to buy a bunch but trying to control myself since I WILL NOT FIT in them after Kk arrives!

Stretch marks? Still holding strong at the 6 on my sides and a couple on my bikini line...ew
Sleep: Eh, wish it was normal but I guess that won't be happening for a couple more years!

Best moment this week: My baby shower, I love getting showered and having the best friends and family a girl could ask for!

Movement: She is a tumbler.  Not only is she kicking, I think she rolls around during her awake times!  She also loves my right rib, she wedges herself in there real tight.

Food cravings: Nope

Miss anything?: Beer...first Cougar Football game of the season...this will be a long 2 months!!
Anything making you queasy or sick: That stupid sugar drink :)

29 Weeks

Week 29
I will start by apologizing for missing a week, I am not quite sure why I decided not to do my weekly post last week but needless to say I got lazy.  This has been 2 weeks of official pregnancy updates...not so fun!

Last Wednesday I woke up and my upper right thigh was numb.  Needless to say I had a minor meltdown but before calling my Dr in a panic I used the amazing babycenter.com.  Apparently this is VERY normal, there is a medical term for it, Meralgia Parasthetica, and in a nutshell my uterus is resting on nerve endings creating the numbness.  I am ok with is, except the disclaimer that it will most likely turn into a burning/tingling as I grow...NOT FUN!  The upside, this will go away after she is born, but 11 more weeks of a "dead thigh" will be weird.

Second pregnancy info, I took my glucose test last Thursday morning.  I was pleasantly surprised the drink was nowhere NEAR as nasty as I was led to believe, so I of course was going into the blood draw on a high...this was going to be easy.  Until I posted it on facebook, then I started getting all of this information about if you FAIL and the 4 hour test, lots of taking blood and yikes...gestational diabetes.  I may sound stupid but I embrace my naivety and didn’t realize how serious that test would be.  Then I started to get worried, I don't do needles and I really don't like the idea of fasting for 15 hours or being diabetic.  No news was good news so when I missed a call on Monday from the Drs office I knew I was in trouble.  I go in for the Gestational Diabetes Diagnostic test next Wednesday morning.  Please send me good juju that my increased glucose levels were a fluke because GD doesn’t sound fun!

I have now started a countdown, I feel like a horrible parent but I can't wait until Kk arrives and my body is mine again.  I now require a step stool to get in bed, rolling over is an act of congress and everything causes pain and discomfort.  I will make the disclaimer again, but I am a wuss so I am hoping nothing else happens because I am sure I will get whiny!

Started planning my maternity leave with work, what a stressful, BIG decision.  I know I can change my mind, but I want a plan in place and have realized that babies just don't like plans.

We registered at the hospital on Saturday, WOW so many things I didn't know.  The labor and delivery bed...WTF, the bottom half detaches and they have a large garbage can with a bright red liner...obviously I knew it wasn't a pretty situation but the bed creeped me out!  The OB technician rubbed me ALL the wrong ways, I felt like she was discouraging an epidural telling me ALL the things I could do to progress labor without it...I would rather lay in bed and not feel any of that, but thank you for your advice...NOT!  She also really thinks Danny should watch, it’s a once in a lifetime thing....um isn’t turning a blind eye to things sometimes good...like the destruction of his adult male playground?!?  I told her that I prefer to not know all of the potential issues that could arise as I would worry about them and would rather go in trusting the Dr will have mine and Kk's best interest at heart she looked at me like I needed help.  Danny says I was being sensitive he didn’t pick up on any of that, so maybe I was looking for a fight but still a weird situation.

Aunt Lynn and Uncle Joe came to visit, we had a fabulous dinner and I am sure I did more talking than anyone would prefer :)  Glad we got to show them our new home and I think they were impressed with the city and the life we have created for ourselves here.

Looking forward to a fun filled weekend, Tyler and Katie get married Friday...YAY, Lincoln's birthday BBQ Saturday and my baby shower/mom's big 5-0 on Sunday!

How far along? 29 weeks
Baby size: 2 and half pounds and 15 inches-our little butternut squash

Total weight gain/loss:+30 pounds! The weight has slowed down the last few weeks making me a happy camper!

Maternity clothes? Love them! Just bought a new dress for this weekend!

Stretch marks? Still holding strong at the 6 on my sides BUT looked down and realized my bikini line is starting to have stretch marks...NOT ok...bring on that vitamin E oil.

Sleep: UGH.  Up at least once a night to pee and now laying on my sides hurts because of the weight of my tummy...overall super uncomfortable.

Best moment this week: Aunt Lynn and Uncle Joe visiting! and Mom and Dad bringing the glider they got us for Kennedy's nursery love it!

Movement: She is a tumbler.  Not only is she kicking, I think she rolls around during her awake times!  She also loves my right rib, she wedges herself in there real tight.

Food cravings: Nope

Miss anything?: Taking care of my body.  Shaving, personal hygiene, painting my toe nails...it is all a task.  Comfortable sleep and snuggles with Danny.

Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope.

Have you started to show yet: Big time :)

Symptoms: Too many things, I have reached the hard part of the 9 months but trying to keep my eye on the prize...she will be here in 11 weeks!!

Labor Signs: Nope!

Belly Button in or out? In...holding strong :)

Wedding rings on or off?  Off, I hate it.  Taking my ring to be cleaned and inspected this weekend, wish I could put it back on after it gets all pretty :(

Happy or Moody?: Overwhelmed.  So many things to get ready for

Looking forward to:  A busy weekend.  Great friends getting married and my first baby shower!
